Alongside the simulation day job, a parallel track of AI and local-LLM tooling has been running since around 2016 - initially PowerShell automation, now local LLM systems, RAG pipelines, and code-intelligence tools, all built to run on-premise (LM Studio / Ollama) for GDPR-compliant deployment.
Key pieces: a Codebase Indexer and Hybrid Code Analyzer that give local LLMs structural and runtime understanding of a repository before they touch code; a domain-specific Battery Expert AI combining LoRA fine-tuning with multi-domain RAG; and the PINN degradation model deployed in production at Volvo. → How the local-LLM infrastructure was built
